Light Wilder makes earthy folk music born from years of wrestling with Scripture, history, humanity, and the mystery of God. Rooted in the Christian story but unafraid of questions, the songs explore the places where faith becomes less about having everything figured out and more about learning to trust what cannot be fully contained.
They follow the traces of light scattered through Scripture and history—the stones we build, the stories we inherit, the things we hold onto, and the moments when greater light asks us to see them differently. With acoustic guitars, banjo, organic percussion, and layered communal harmonies, Light Wilder creates music for the space between certainty and mystery: something solid enough to stand on, alive enough to keep moving, and wild enough to keep drawing us further.
Dawn of Ages is the project underneath the songs: an interactive study of the long human journey of encountering God, understanding God, and discovering that the mystery is always greater than the names and boundaries we give it.
The light meets us where we are. It doesn’t always leave us there.
